Diploma in Mining and Metallurgical Engineering (NTUA) (first among the graduates of her school), and Master’s Degree in Technoeconomic systems.

Mrs Niki Iliana POULIMENOU  holds a Diploma in Mining and Metallurgical Engineering (NTUA) and master’s degree on “Techno-economic systems” and also in “Environmental Design of Infrastructure Works”. Since 2014 she has been employed by Eco-Efficiency Ltd on issues such as: (a) Risk assessment and classification of extractive and metallurgical waste resulting from the largest Greek industries operating in the sector, (b) Baseline reports according to the legal requirement of Industrial Emissions Directive 2010/75 / EU “Site Closure”, for the determination of the state of soil and groundwater contamination, (c) participation in two DG ENV projects (i) the Study supporting the elaboration of guidance on best practices in the Extractive Waste Management Plans (she was involve in all the tasks) and (ii) Study supporting the development of general guidance on the implementation of the Extractive Waste Directive  for and on issues related to discussion with the competent authorities from Greece and Cyprus and (d) the compilation of the BREF reference documents (i) for the management of waste from extractive industries (2014-2018) and (ii) Waste Treatment – Mechanical treatment of waste (2014-2016). Her native language is Greek, and she has a C2 level in English and B1 level in French.
