Diploma in Mining and Metallurgical Engineering from NTUA and PhD in Materials Science and Environment.

He is managing director and partner of Eco-efficiency Consulting and Engineering Ltd providing services on authorization approval and certification of products, on environmental issues, on management of occupational Health and Safety, specialized on extractive and metallurgical industries, combining the technical and scientific know-how with the expertise of the EU and International regulatory framework.  He is BAT EUROMINES manager for coordination and technical consultation for the review of the “Best Available Techniques Reference Document for the Management of Waste from the Extractive Industries”.  He worked in multinational corporations for more than 20 years, gaining exposure on an international level as representative of the Hellenic Federation of Enterprises and the Greek Mining Enterprises Association in Brussels, quality assurance manager at OTAVI GmbH based in Germany, head of International operations of the Bauxite division of S&B.   He was the chairman of the Environmental Committee of EUROMINES for 5 years (2000 – 2005) and coordinator of eight REACH consortia (2008 – 2014) in Brussels.
